CITY OF RED BAY

The City of Red Bay was incorporated July 13, 1907 and is located in western Franklin County, Alabama, bordering the State of Mississippi. Red Bay is situated approximately 23 miles West of the county seat of Franklin County, 38 miles Southwest of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, 90 miles West of Huntsville, Alabama, 42 miles Northeast of Tupelo, Mississippi, 123 miles Northwest of Birmingham, Alabama, and 148 miles Southeast of Memphis, Tennessee.
 

RED BAY MUSEUM

History has long been a focus for the Red Bay, Alabama Civitan Club when it comes to community projects. In 2004, the Civitans secured a building to display treasures from the area, and work began on constructing displays that would showcase these to their best advantage. The facade of the early 1900's building, which had been drastically changed through the years, was rebuilt to reflect how it may have looked when originally constructed.
 

FRANKLIN COUNTY, AL CHAMBER OF COMMERCE

The Chamber provides many services to our community including business referrals, Small Business Association, exposure through advertising and newsletters, proposal listings, educational opportunities, legislative news, and economic materials. Along with the Economic Development Authority, we sponsor and annual countywide Awards and Appreciation banquet for all Chamber members, business and industry

For more than 100 years, the TimesDaily has been serving the readers of Lauderdale, Colbert, Franklin and Lawrence counties along with parts of Marion and Winston counties in Alabama. ALABAMA ARTS COMMISSION

The Alabama State Council on the Arts was created by Executive Order No. 29, on April 8,1966 by Governor George C. Wallace, stating that "The practice and enjoyment of the arts are of increasing importance to the personal welfare of the people as a vital aspect of our cultural heritage and as valued means of expanding the scope of our educational programs."

MISSISSIPPI ARTS COMMISSION

In 1968, the Mississippi legislature created the Mississippi Arts Commission as the official grantsmaking and service agency for the arts. Since then the Commission has broadened its role as an active supporter and promoter of the arts in community life and arts education.
